Manage the Quarantine in ESET Remote Administrator (6.x)

Issue

  • Create a Quarantine Management task to restore, restore and exclude, or delete objects in the Quarantine from the ESET Remote Administrator Web Console (ERA Web Console)

Solution

To manage the Quarantine on a specific client workstation

  1. Open ESET Remote Administrator Web Console (ERA Web Console) in your web browser and log in. How do I open ERA Web Console?

  2. Click Admin → Client Tasks → Quarantine Management → New

  3. Type a name for your task into the Name field.

  4. Expand Settings and select your desired options from the Action and Filter Type drop-down menus. In this example, Delete Object(s) and Object name are selected. (Please note that you will add Targets after the task is created.)

    ESET Remote Administrator version 6.2.11 and earlier: 

    Adding targets is done during task creation (for example, after adding a new task and giving it a Name, click Target to add groups or clients to the task).

     

  5. Click Select.

  6. Select the object from the list of quarantined files and click OK.

  7. Click Finish.

  8. Click Create Trigger when you are asked whether you want to add a trigger for the client task. For instructions to assign a trigger to a Client Task and define its targets, see the following Knowledgebase article: How do I create a Trigger and add Target computers or groups to execute a Client Task? Manage Quarantine on specific client computer

  1. Open ESET Remote Administrator Web Console (ERA Web Console) in your web browser and log in. How do I open ERA Web Console?

  2. Click Computers, click the computer you want to manage and then select Details from the context menu.

  3. Click Threats and Quarantine → Quarantine tab. 

  4. Select the check box(es) next to the object(s) you want to manage, click Quarantine Management and then select your desired option from the context menu.

  5. Click OK.
