Why does ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server have missing menu items when viewed via Remote Desktop?

ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server may not display properly when viewed through a remote connection. This is a known issue and ESET is currently working to resolve it.

If you are experiencing this issue and require a temporary fix, disabling self-defense will resolve the issue.

  1. Open ESET Mail Security. How do I open my ESET product?
     
  2. Press the F5 key on your keyboard to display the Advanced setup window.
     
  3. Select Antivirus and antispyware from the Setup tree on the left and deselect Enable Self-defense and click OK.

  4. Restart your computer.
