This message means that you have a version of ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server (EMSX) which was not tested yet on a newer Microsoft Exchange Server version you have upgraded to. Therefore, we highly recommend installing the latest available version of EMSX.

There might also be a circumstance when "Microsoft Exchange is not installed" message does not actually appear. The protection status of ESET Mail Security is still lit green, but the Exchange Server protection is not working after an upgrade of Microsoft Exchange Server to a newer version. This can be verified by opening advanced setup tree (F5). You will see that all items regarding Mail server protection are missing from the advanced setup tree. We therefore recommend checking functionality of Mail server protection whenever you upgrade your Microsoft Exchange Server.

To resolve this issue, please download the latest available version of ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server from ESET's download page and simply install it onto your server. In case you are using ESET Mail Security version 4.2.10016.0 and older, it is necessary that you follow the instructions below in order to install the newer version.
