You should be able to update the BIOS of a machine using DESlock+ without any problems.

There are some things that should be attended to before performing the upgrade process:

• As a precaution you should ensure you have a current backup of data from the machine before performing the process.
• If the system is using UEFI to boot you should ensure the DESlock+ software version has been upgraded to v4.7.6 or later before performing the operation.
• With any BIOS update operation you should ensure that power is maintained during the update operation.  If the machine is a laptop or tablet ensure that external power is connected during the process.
• You should ensure you follow your manufacturer's guidelines for the update procedure.
