Removal of the encryption from removable media is detailed below.

Important: If the removable media is encrypted using the File mode of encryption then removing the encryption will Delete the contents of the encrypted folder permanently.  Therefore you should remove data from the encrypted folder you require before removing the encryption.

Full Disk Mode

• Right click on the DESlock+ system tray icon.
• Select the Removable Media\Removable Media Encryption menu item.
• Select the device to remove encryption from in the list of disks.
• Click the Decrypt button.

• Click Yes to the confirmation that you wish to decrypt the drive.

• Once the operation has completed click OK to the completion notification.

File Mode

• Right click on the DESlock+ system tray icon.
• Select the Removable Media\Removable Media Encryption menu item.
• Select the device to remove encryption from in the list of disks.
• Click the Decrypt button.

• Click Yes to the confirmation that the encrypted data will be Deleted.

• Once the operation has completed click OK to the completion notification.
