Your VM must have a public DNS record

Your VM must have a public DNS record or fixed public IP address. Failure to use a public DNS or fixed IP can cause your endpoints to fail in connecting to ESET Remote Administrator.

  1. Download the RDP file and connect to your VM.

  2. After connecting to your VM, ESET Remote Administrator Setup will appear. Choose a Language for ESET Remote Administrator and click Next to continue installation.

    Install at a later date

If you closed the setup window accidentally or want to install later, you can run installation from the Command Prompt using the following command:
    C:\ERASetup\Bootstrapper\Setup.exe --mode azure

Opening ESET Remote Administrator Web Console remotely

Web Console can be accessed from anywhere using its IP address or, if you have bought an Azure DNS entry, the DNS address associated with your web ERA Server URL (for example, https://yourCustomName.westus.cloudapp.azure.com/era/).

Note that a self-signed certificate might not be accepted by your web browser so you will need to add an exception for this SSL certificate.

If you want to use your own trusted certificate, or a certificate signed by any CA, follow the instructions from the article below:
