A web dashboard is a set of reports that are automatically updated with new data to give a comprehensive overview of the state of client workstations on your network. The web dashboard feature can be accessed at any time to monitor the status of client workstations by entering the hostname or IP address of your ESET Remote Administrator Server into your web browser. To access your web dashboard from an outside network, you will need to authenticate onto your network via VPN or have ESET Remote Administrator Server installed on an external-facing server.

The web dashboard feature is compatible with the following web browsers:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 and later

  • Mozilla Firefox 3.6 and later

  • Google Chrome 9 and later

Solution

Included in ESET Remote Administrator version 5.x are a set of pre-defined report templates for the web dashboard. In addition to these templates, you can create your own custom template to display only the statistics you select. Follow the instructions below to create a new report that you can view via web dashboard.

  1. Open the ESET Remote Administrator Console (ERAC) by clicking Start → All Programs → ESET → ESET Remote Administrator Console.

  2. Click the Reports tab. Select the Dashboard Templates pane and then click New. A New Template window will open. You can use the Name field to enter a new name or click the drop-down menu to edit the name from a pre-defined template. Click Save to save the template to the server.

Review the data in the report to verify that you have configured the new template correctly. Once you have confirmed that the data is being displayed correctly, you can use this report in your Dashboard.
