Solution


After you upgraded from ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server version 8 to version 9 or you installed ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server version 9, the "No active antivirus provider. Your device is vulnerable." error may appear in Windows Security Center.

This alert can be safely ignored.

ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server version 8 used a different method of taking over Microsoft Defender, not disabling it completely.

ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server version 9 was updated to use a different way of disabling Microsoft Defender via the group policy. ESET Server Security for Microsoft Windows Server version 9 disables Microsoft Defender completely.
