Tegelijkertijd zorgt het EOL-beleid voor een soepelere, duidelijkere en meer voorspelbare ervaring rondom de levensloop van onze oplossingen.
In 2023 bereiken twee versies van ESET Endpoint Security en ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Windows (versie 7.3 en 9.0) de End of Life-status. Hieronder leggen we uit wat er precies zal gebeuren en welke stappen ondernomen dienen te worden.

In 2020, we introduced a new End of Life policy aimed at ensuring the best possible security for our customers with the latest features and enhancements. At the same time, the EOL policy ensures a smoother, clearer and more predictable experience around the lifecycle of our solutions.
In 2023, two versions of ESET Endpoint Security and ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Windows (versions 7.3 and 9.0) will reach the End of Life status. Below we explain exactly what will happen and what steps should be taken.

Starting December 1, 2022, ESET Endpoint Security and ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Windows versions 7.3 and 9.0 will reach Limited Support status. At that point, yellow alerts will be shown in the ESET PROTECT (Cloud) console and to all protected endpoints via the product interface. | During the Limited Support period, the solution will no longer be developed and support for new operating systems will not be added. During this period, it is important to determine when the endpoints will be updated to the latest version, ahead of the End of Life date. |
Starting June 1, 2023, red alerts will be shown in the ESET PROTECT (Cloud) console and to all protected endpoints via the product interface. The End-of-Life of these versions will be in December 2023. | The functionalities of a solution that has reached End of Life are no longer guaranteed. In addition, ESET no longer provides product support. It is important to update before December 2023. |
