Dear partners,
We have identified an issue with compatibility of the public version of Safetica 9.1 with Google Chrome build 78 which was released yesterday.
The main visible sign of this issue is the following message shown to end users when launching Chrome:
We are addressing this issue in two ways:
- Today we will push a new definitions update that will temporarily disable Safetica integration into Google Chrome. This update will be applied automatically, and will ensure that end users are not affected by this issue.
- On Friday the latest we will release a new build of Safetica 9.1 through standard channels (i.e. new version will be available in Safetica Console, and can be distributed to endpoints) that resolves this issue and re-enables the integration into Google Chrome. We will inform you as soon as the new version is available.
In case any of your customers contact you with this issue, you can resolve it by disabling Safetica’s integration into Chrome processes in Maintenance – Integration settings – Application integration.
Should you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us at https://techcenter.eset.nl/new-ticket .
