Solution

If you do not use ESET Remote Administrator to manage your network

Perform these steps on individual client workstations.

From ESET Remote Administrator Console

  1. Open the ESET Remote Administrator Console (ERAC) by clicking Start → All Programs → ESET → ESET Remote Administrator Console → ESET Remote Administrator Console.

  2. Click Tools → Policy Manager.

  3. Select the policy that you want to modify and click Edit Policy.

  4. Expand Windows desktop v5 → Real-time file system protection → Settings → External devices action → Action to take after inserting external devices and select Automatic device scan from the Value drop-down menu.

  5. Click Console → yes to save your changes. Client workstations will receive the new settings the next time that they check in to ESET Remote Administrator.
