Issue
- Disable virus signature database notifications on individual client workstations from the ESET Remote Administrator Console (see Figure 1-1 for an example)

Solution
Suppress notifications remotely on all client workstations using ERA
- Open the ESET Remote Administrator Console (ERAC) by clicking Start → All Programs → ESET → ESET Remote Administrator Console → ESET Remote Administrator Console.
- Click Tools → Policy Manager.
- Select the server policy you would like to modify and click Edit.

- Expand Windows desktop v5 → Update → Profile (My Profile) → Settings.
- Click Do not display notification about successful update and select the check box next to Value. To disable update notifications, the value should be displayed as Yes. If you use multiple update profiles (for example, you have a dual update profile configured) make sure to make this change for each specific profile that you do not want to display notifications.
- Click Console to save your changes and then click OK to close Policy Manager. Policy changes will be enforced on client workstations assigned to this policy the next time that they check into ERA.

Suppress notifications on individual client workstations
- Open ESET Endpoint Security or ESET Endpoint Antivirus. How do I open my ESET product?
- Press F5 on your keyboard to access Advanced setup.
- Expand Update → General.
- Select the check box next to Do not display notification about successful update.
- Click OK to save your changes. Virus signature database update notifications will no longer be displayed on this client workstation.
