ESET Cloud Office Security v707 feature update

Authors list

A feature update of ESET Cloud Office Security v707 has been released.

Changelog

  • Role-Based Access Control

You can now create roles with custom permission sets, similar to what you may already know from ESET PROTECT. This allows you to control what individual users can see and manage in ESET Cloud Office Security, including access limited to specific groups. This feature is available to users with a valid ESET PROTECT Hub account.

  • Email rule templates with variables

We've expanded the rule engine with support for variables, giving you more flexibility when creating custom rules. To help you get started, more than 20 ready-to-use templates are now available. Review each template before enabling it, and test it on a smaller scope, such as a group, before applying it to your entire tenant.

  • Use your own syslog certificate

Support for uploading your own certificate chain has been added when exporting logs to a syslog server. This lets you export logs to servers that use either a publicly trusted SSL certificate or a certificate chain you provide.

  • Email body preview in mail quarantine reports

The first 250 characters of an email can now be previewed directly in the Mail Quarantine report. Hover over the envelope icon to quickly assess whether an email might be legitimate, without logging in to the console.

  • Quick filters in email scan logs

To make searching for emails faster, quick filters are now available in the context menu in email scan logs. When you select an email, you can find similar or identical emails across mailboxes by filtering by From, To, Message ID, or Subject.
