I am happy to announce the release of ESET Inspect and ESET Inspect Cloud version 1.8. The on-prem version is available to download (links below + available via ESET PROTECT repository) since yesterday, the 13th of October, and cloud instances are being updated with an estimated completion today by end of business.
This version introduces a major change in EI's architecture (moving the evaluation of Detection Rules from the EI Server to the EI Connector) and various other smaller changes.

- Installation of the on-prem EI Server can take quite a long time in large environments

Installation packages
- On-prem EI Server and EI Connectors download here and/or deploy via ESET PROTECT
- For ESET Inspect Cloud first check whether your instance has been updated to v1.8 and if yes, proceed with update of EI Connectors via ESET PROTECT Cloud
Installation notes
- Update EI Server to 1.8 first and EI Connectors afterwards
- EI Server v1.8 is compatible with v1.7 EI Connectors but not the other way around
